Part of our team's daily routine is patrolling the V&A Waterfront to monitor the local marine wildlife and assist animals in need. Sometimes, this means hopping into a boat and following seals around the local harbour to disentangle those with loops of plastic pollution ensnaring them!
With the Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation, we work with the Waterfront on an integrated Marine Wildlife Management Programme, which has the goal of creating a space where humans and wildlife can coexist safely and harmoniously. Definitely one of the most fulfilling parts of our day!
