Celebrate our ocean this holiday at the Two Oceans Aquarium

We're excited to announce that the Two Oceans Aquarium is dedicating the entire month of June to celebrating our beautiful ocean, and we'd love for you to join us. Gather your loved ones, wetsuit up, and dive into waves of family fun. Let's see what you can expect:
''Sounds of The Ocean'' film
8 -9 June
Did you know that oceans contain between 50% - 80% of all life on earth? During your visit to the Two Oceans Aquarium, you and your loved ones will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the wonder of the ocean through a unique and exciting ''sound experience'' film brought to you by the award-winning creators, Sounds of The Ocean.
Sounds of The Ocean aims to ''raise awareness and understanding around the critical issues facing the health of our oceans while supporting people to live healthy lives.''
Pop into the Auditorium (on-site) on 8 and 9 June to enjoy this experience. See screaming times below:
''The Little Optimist and The Sea Monster'' book reading
1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 13 June
Parents, just when you thought the fascinating marine lifeand interactive experiences were enough to blow your little ones mind, we're doing one better. The Two Oceans Aquarium is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a reading of the marvelous children's book, The Little Optimist and The Sea Monster, by Greg Bertish.
Greg Birtish's popular book readings will be held in the I&J Ocean Exhibit and will include cool props and a real-life small boat, an Optimist That's not all, copies of the book will also be on sale, which means you could leave the Aquarium with your very own copy to read at home.
Rocky Shore Explore
8 June
Join us as we celebrate World Oceans Day at Dalebrook Tidal Pool, Kalk Bay on Saturday 8 June 2024, from 10h00 to 12h00.
We'll be exploring our beautiful shoreline and discovering some of the incredible natural diversity on our doorstep. Bring along your non-slip shoes, your loved-ones, and all of your enthusiasm. This is one you do not want to miss!
"When I Was A Fish" Aquarium event
14 June
This intimate event will host a talk from Professor Mike Bruton in the Two Oceans Aquarium's Auditorium. Guests will receive welcome drinks and will have ''after hours'' access to freely explore the Aquarium exhibits.
Tickets are priced at R250 per person and are sure to sell out fast. Make sure to secure your spot.
Trash Bash
15 June
Join us at Monwabisi Beach, on Saturday, 15 June for yet another spectacular Trash Bash beach cleanup.
Our ocean is for everyone, and we believe that fostering love and care for it is something that all Capetonians should have the opportunity to take part in. Bring your buckets and all of your energy, as we gear up to fight for our ocean.

''Sandi & The Salty Sea Dogs'' book reading
15-17 June
As if one book reading wasn't enough entertainment for the kids, the Two Oceans Aquarium will be hosting a second reading from the 15-17 June. This time, it will be performed by Monique Fallow, on her book "Sandi & The Salty Sea Dogs''. This book reading will also feature a small visual presentation as part of the reading experience.
After Dark
26 June - 25 September
Following its third straight sold out run, After Dark returns to the Two Oceans Aquarium and brings with it some of the finest talent around. Coasters and Blue Voware, Metro Villa and Yellow House, Steve McKellar and Tessi, and Mila Smith and Micaela Kleinsmith are the artists lined up to perform this year.
The Two Oceans Aquarium, together with entertainment website Texx and the City, are joining forces once again to host their third stripped down series of events this winter featuring some of the exceptional music talent.
As you can see, the Two Oceans Aquarium is geared up for a jam-packed month dedicated to our ocean! We cannot wait to see you and your loved ones creating awesome ocean memories together.
